This was our first time to the Smoky Mountains National Park on the North Carolina and Tennessee border. While dogs aren't allowed on the trails, we were able to find some trails in other parks which were more pet-friendly. From camping under the shade of 70-foot pine trees to wading in fridgid streams to roasting marshmallows over the roaring fire, it was a treat reconnecting with nature following the stress of my final final exams.
